Larry B. Roland,CPCU, CIC, ARM

Business Information:Larry B. Roland is Chairman of Senn Dunn Marsh & Roland, the largest privately owned independent insurance agency in North Carolina. Larry is a 1970 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  With 40 years of insurance experience and a degree in risk management, he offers professional advice to clients with complex or specialized needs.  He concentrates his efforts on larger commercial insurance accounts involving manufacturing and contracting.  Larry is a Past President of the Independent Insurance Agents of North Carolina, was the 1998 recipient of the Ernest F. Young Education Award and was named IIANC’s Agent of the Year in 2003.  He has served as Chairman of Affiliated Insurance Services, a national organization of insurance agencies, President of the Piedmont North Carolina CPCU Chapter and on the Board of Directors for the Brantley Center for Risk and Insurance at Appalachian State University.

Personal Information:

Larry is married to Debbie, and they have four children and five grandchildren.  He is a member of the Old North State Club in New London, NC. He enjoys golf, Carolina sports, and is usually reading two to three books. He is a retired member of the N.C. Army National Guard.

Community Involvement:

Larry was a Little League Baseball coach for 13 years.  He is a former member of the Eagle Scout Board of Review.  Larry is a member of West Market Street United Methodist Church where he serves on the Administrative Board, has taught Sunday School classes, and has served as Lay Leader.  He is Chairman of the Board for Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro.
